Step 4: Please remember that there are 613 Hebrew Imperatives, but there are also 1642 Greek Imperatives given by Jesus Christ, our Lord, and His Apostles. To keep the law of Moses for Israel, one had to live in the land of Israel and keep all of them. Paul discusses this aspect in Galatians, and James 2:10 also discusses it. The purpose of the law is to reveal our need for a Savior in Jesus Christ, to tell us what sin is and how God views it. Our response to the law is in Matthew 5 regarding the beatitudes. When someone dies, they are no longer bound to the law, and thus Paul says that by faith, when Jesus died on the cross, we died with Him, because the law gave sin its hold over us, which means that it is a witness against us. In Jesus Christ, we are freed because He paid our sin debt. Lest anyone say we are for sinning, Paul says of that thinking, "God forbid!" Jesus calls us to obey His commandments, demonstrating our love for Him. John 14:15. In fact, I will go out on a limb and say that one cannot be a disciple of Jesus Christ without submitting oneself to His commandments in the New Covenant, powered by the Holy Spirit—the book of Galatians is on this subject.
5. 247 commandments have been removed because of the destruction of the Second Temple. None of these can be kept. Therefore, none of the Torah can be kept. However, we can keep what Jesus and His Apostles said.
The Lord bless you all who pursue keeping the law of Christ to please God. The same God on Mt. Sinai is on the Mt. of Beatitudes, and He is bringing in a new covenant.

New Marriage Broken Up
"I have lost my husband to this. He hates me because I do not follow the doctrine that he has adopted for 8 months now. He has left me, and he has told me that he is no longer married to me because we were not married in an HRM. He has told me that our marriage was a mistake on his part, and we have only been married for 8 years, and we are older people. I can't understand how this could happen to someone at this age. He has abandoned everyone except HRM friends: his family, the children, and his siblings. I don't understand this at all. I don't understand anything about this, and it destroyed my life."
Daughter caught up in Torah Keeping.
I’m sorry about this. I know you’re not alone. My wife and I are afraid our middle daughter is lost in this maze of heresy. She has gotten entrenched in it and seems miserable now at our church because we do not observe the Sabbath, the dietary laws, or feasts. She does not believe we are currently under the new covenant. For a while, she was questioning the deity of Jesus. I think she’s come back to orthodox belief in that regard, but I’m not positive. She believes the kingdom of God is all future. Her husband is an elder at our church where I preach. So we have that to deal with. I say all of this to say many of us know how this can destroy families. And some can share your pain regarding how it destroys marriages, too. I will pray for you right now.
We know why this happens. Because people believe other people's teachings rather than doing proper bible study themselves. Biblestudycompany.com is here to help.
