I believe God's love is always unconditional towards us , but I feel like we can move away from His favor when we go after things that we don't need or shouldn't do. We need to seek Him every day and ask His guidance. Joseph had favor with God because he chose to be upright. When we chose to do our own thing, it can lead to slavery...to the new car, house, food, porn, etc. This "slavery" can make our lives miserable.
