"But they went in to her as they would go in to a harlot. Thus they went in to Oholah and to Oholibah, the lewd women.

Thus will I cause lewdness to cease out of the land, that all women may be taught not to do after your lewdness.

'Thus I will make lewdness cease from the land, that all women may be admonished and not commit lewdness as you have done.

So I spake unto the people in the morning: and at even my wife died; and I did in the morning as I was commanded.
NASB:
So I spoke to the people in the morning, and in the evening my wife died. And in the morning I did as I was commanded.

Ye stand upon your sword, ye work abomination, and ye defile every one his neighbour's wife: and shall ye possess the land?
NASB:
"You rely on your sword, you commit abominations and each of you defiles his neighbor's wife. Should you then possess the land?"'

He shall also set his face to enter with the strength of his whole kingdom, and upright ones with him; thus shall he do: and he shall give him the daughter of women, corrupting her: but she shall not stand on his side, neither be for him.
NASB:
"He will set his face to come with the power of his whole kingdom, bringing with him a proposal of peace which he will put into effect; he will also give him the daughter of women to ruin it. But she will not take a stand for him or be on his side.
