A primitive root; properly, to try, i.e. (by implication) select -- acceptable, appoint, choose (choice), excellent, join, be rather, require.
KJV: That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
NASB: that the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves, whomever they chose.
