Folks, at this time of the year there are always attacks on Christmas as a pagan holiday. My article from last year is very in-depth on the real history of Christmas and why the early church believed that it was around December 25-early January. "Well Ric, I have heard that there is a pagan holiday around this time of the year." Yes, and I deal with this complete history. I also deal with "Well, Christmas is not in the bible". We deal with that as well because it flatly is because it is in the beginning of the Matthew and Luke. But people get twisted up, it seems with "Christ Mass" thinking the holiday is a Catholic holiday. Not correct either. "Well, Ric, there is too much commercialism due to Santa, etc". Yes, but that is how INDIVIDUALS celebrate. But this time of the year the entire world is focused on this "Christmas celebration," and that is a miracle and wonderful time to share the "why" of Christmas, not preach against it.
