NASB: and he said, "Be it far from me, O LORD, that I should do this. Shall I drink the blood of the men who went in jeopardy of their lives?" Therefore he would not drink it. These things the three mighty men did.
KJV: And all the elders and all the people said unto him, Hearken not unto him, nor consent.
NASB: All the elders and all the people said to him, "Do not listen or consent."

KJV: Yet the LORD would not destroy Judah for David his servant's sake, as he promised him to give him alway a light, and to his children.
NASB: However, the LORD was not willing to destroy Judah, for the sake of David His servant, since He had promised him to give a lamp to him through his sons always.
KJV: And the LORD was gracious unto them, and had compassion on them, and had respect unto them, because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not destroy them, neither cast he them from his presence as yet.
NASB: But the LORD was gracious to them and had compassion on them and turned to them because of His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not destroy them or cast them from His presence until now.
