KJV: And as they departed, Jesus began to say unto the multitudes concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken with the wind?
NASB: As these men were going away, Jesus began to speak to the crowds about John, "What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind?
KJV: But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? behold, they that wear soft clothing are in kings' houses.
NASB: "But what did you go out to see? A man dressed in soft clothing? Those who wear soft clothing are in kings' palaces!
KJV: But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? yea, I say unto you, and more than a prophet.
NASB: "But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and one who is more than a prophet.
KJV: Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they might destroy him.
NASB: But the Pharisees went out and conspired against Him, as to how they might destroy Him.

NASB: When He went ashore, He saw a large crowd, and felt compassion for them and healed their sick.
