Of uncertain affinity; in the oblique cases there is used instead of it a (probably cognate) name; Dis (deece), which is otherwise obsolete; Zeus or Dis (among the Latins, Jupiter or Jove), the supreme deity of the Greeks -- Jupiter.
KJV: And they called Barnabas, Jupiter; and Paul, Mercurius, because he was the chief speaker.
NASB: And they began calling Barnabas, Zeus, and Paul, Hermes, because he was the chief speaker.
KJV: Then the priest of Jupiter, which was before their city, brought oxen and garlands unto the gates, and would have done sacrifice with the people.
