A primitive root; to gash -- cut in pieces, make (cuttings) pieces.
KJV: They shall not make baldness upon their head, neither shall they shave off the corner of their beard, nor make any cuttings in their flesh.
NASB: 'They shall not make any baldness on their heads, nor shave off the edges of their beards, nor make any cuts in their flesh.
KJV: And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.
