From blastos (a sprout); to germinate; by implication, to yield fruit -- bring forth, bud, spring (up).
KJV: But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
NASB: "But when the wheat sprouted and bore grain, then the tares became evident also.
KJV: And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.
