Strong's Exhaustive Concordance

Apparently from an unused root meaning to cover; a veil -- vail.
KJV: And till Moses had done speaking with them, he put a vail on his face.
NASB: When Moses had finished speaking with them, he put a veil over his face.
KJV: But when Moses went in before the LORD to speak with him, he took the vail off, until he came out. And he came out, and spake unto the children of Israel that which he was commanded.
NASB: But whenever Moses went in before the LORD to speak with Him, he would take off the veil until he came out; and whenever he came out and spoke to the sons of Israel what he had been commanded,
KJV: And the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses' face shone: and Moses put the vail upon his face again, until he went in to speak with him.
NASB: the sons of Israel would see the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses' face shone. So Moses would replace the veil over his face until he went in to speak with Him.
