KJV: And after this it came to pass, that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them: and David took Methegammah out of the hand of the Philistines.
NASB: Now after this it came about that David defeated the Philistines and subdued them; and David took control of the chief city from the hand of the Philistines.
KJV: Because thy rage against me and thy tumult is come up into mine ears, therefore I will put my hook in thy nose, and my bridle in thy lips, and I will turn thee back by the way by which thou camest.
