"My lord, listen to me; a piece of land worth four hundred shekels of silver, what is that between me and you? So bury your dead."

And they said, We saw certainly that the LORD was with thee: and we said, Let there be now an oath betwixt us, even betwixt us and thee, and let us make a covenant with thee;

They said, "We see plainly that the LORD has been with you; so we said, 'Let there now be an oath between us, even between you and us, and let us make a covenant with you,

And he set three days' journey betwixt himself and Jacob: and Jacob fed the rest of Laban's flocks.

And he put a distance of three days' journey between himself and Jacob, and Jacob fed the rest of Laban's flocks.

And Laban said, This heap is a witness between me and thee this day. Therefore was the name of it called Galeed;

Laban said, "This heap is a witness between you and me this day." Therefore it was named Galeed,

And Mizpah; for he said, The LORD watch between me and thee, when we are absent one from another.

and Mizpah, for he said, "May the LORD watch between you and me when we are absent one from the other.

If thou shalt afflict my daughters, or if thou shalt take other wives beside my daughters, no man is with us; see, God is witness betwixt me and thee.

"If you mistreat my daughters, or if you take wives besides my daughters, although no man is with us, see, God is witness between you and me."
