Of Latin origin but uncertain significance; Titus, a Christian -- Titus.
KJV: I had no rest in my spirit, because I found not Titus my brother: but taking my leave of them, I went from thence into Macedonia.
NASB: I had no rest for my spirit, not finding Titus my brother; but taking my leave of them, I went on to Macedonia.
KJV: Nevertheless God, that comforteth those that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus;
NASB: But God, who comforts the depressed, comforted us by the coming of Titus;
KJV: Therefore we were comforted in your comfort: yea, and exceedingly the more joyed we for the joy of Titus, because his spirit was refreshed by you all.
NASB: For this reason we have been comforted. And besides our comfort, we rejoiced even much more for the joy of Titus, because his spirit has been refreshed by you all.
KJV: For if I have boasted any thing to him of you, I am not ashamed; but as we spake all things to you in truth, even so our boasting, which I made before Titus, is found a truth.
