1
And on the
third
day
a wedding
took place in
Cana
of Galilee, and the
mother
of Jesus
was there,
2
and
also
Jesus
was invited,
and
His disciples, to the
wedding.
3
And
of
the
wine
having been deficient, the
mother
of Jesus
says
to Him, They have
no
wine.
4
And
Jesus
says
to her, What to Me and to you,
woman?
My
hour
is not yet come.
5
His
mother
says
to the
servants,
Whatever
He may say
to you, do
it
.
6
Now
there were
six
stone
water jars
standing
there, according to the
purification
of the Jews,
having space
for
two
or
three
metretae.
7
Jesus
says
to them, Fill the
jars
with water.
And
they filled
them up to
the
brim.
8
And
He says
to them, Now
draw
some
out
and
carry
it
to the master of the feast.
And
they carried
it
.
9
And
when
the
master of the feast
had tasted
the
water
having become
wine,
and did not know
from where
it isbut the
servants
having drawn
the
water
knewthe
master of the feast
calls
the bridegroom,
10
and
he says
to him, Every
man
first
sets out
the
good
wine
,
and
when
they might have drunk freely,
the
inferior;
you
have kept
the
good
wine
until
now.
11
This
was the
beginning
of the
signs
Jesus
did
in
Cana
of Galilee, and He revealed His
glory.
And His
disciples
believed
in
Him.
12
After
this,
He went down
to Capernaum, He and His mother, and His brothers, and His disciples, and
they stayed
there
not
many
days.
13
And the
Passover
of the
Jews
was near, and
Jesus
went up
to
Jerusalem.
14
And He found
in
the
temple those
sell
in
g
oxen
and
sheep
and
doves,
and
the
money changers
sitt
in
g.
15
And
having made
a whip
of
cords,
He drove out
all
from
the
temple, both sheep and
oxen;
and
He poured out
the
coins of
the
money changers
and
overthrew
the
tables.
16
And
to those
selling
doves
He said, Take
these things
from here! Do not
make
My Fathers
house
a
house
of trade.
17
His
disciples
remembered
that it is
written:
The
zeal
of Your
house
will consume
Me.
18
So
the
Jews
answered and
said
to Him, What
sign
do You show
to us that
You do
these things?
19
Jesus
answered
and said to them, Destroy
this
temple, and in
three
days
I will raise it up
.
20
Therefore
the
Jews
said, This
temple
was built
in
forty and six years, and You
will raise it up
in
three
days?
21
But He
was speaking
concerning the
temple
of His
body.
22
Therefore
when
He was raised up
out from
the
dead, His
disciples
remembered
that
He had said
this, and
they believed
the
Scripture
and the
word
that
Jesus
had spoken.
23
And
when
He was
in
Jerusalem
in
the
Passover,
in
the
Feast,
many
believed
in
His
name,
behold
in
g
His
signs
that
He was do
in
g.
24
But
Jesus
on His part
did not
did entrust
Himself to them, because of His
knowing
all
men
,
25
and
because
He had
no
need
that
anyone
should testify
concerning
man,
for
He Himself
knew
what
was in man.
